We believe that the outside living space is as important as the inside, especially for those of us from northern Europe who don't get to do much of it at home! This is why you are spoilt for choice at the Villa. There is the roof terrace, your own private balconies and verandah and also a lovely size garden. There is something for everyone - day or night.

Our Villa has a good size front garden which is lovely and private. The front garden is east facing and gets the morning sun but is shady in the heat of the day. For sunworshippers we have the orchard garden at the rear which has sun all day.

The main locking metal gates lead onto the sandy lane next to the banana fields. The lane is well lit up at night, but high heels are not recommended - even for the ladies! The driveway and path are made from local clay tiles. By night the garden is lit by terracotta lights which give out a romantic glow. If all this sounds a perfect place to end a busy day then why not let us arrange for your evening meal to be brought to you? Several excellent local restaurants offer a takeout service - just ask us and we will be happy to help. We can also help with the cold beer and wine.

Our garden is planted with lots of bouganvilla, banana trees and other traditional Egyptian herbs and flowers.Upper Egypt has been famous since the days of the Pharaohs for its beautiful terracotta pots and vases and here at Villa Bahri we have used them to decorate the roof terrace and garden.
