The wide marble stairs lead you to the large roof-top terrace where the view is wonderful.To the front you can look across the banana platations to the river. At the rear are excellent views of the mysterious Theban mountains - the last resting place of the Pharaohs. Since October 2010 the mountains have been lit up at night and look breathtaking.                                                There is a large tented area with comfy seats. Its the perfect place to enjoy a cold drink at the end of the day. There is a WC/utility room. By night the roof is lit up with terracotta lights which give it a magical feel.

This is the view from the balconies at the rear of the roof with the Theban hills in the distance. The tombs of the Nobles can be clearly seen cut into the hillside. The mountains look spectacular at night bathed in the gentle glow of the new floodlights.

The shaded seating area overlooks the pretty roof garden and palm trees. There is a fan for keeping cool.

THE STUDIO APARTMENT

The roof-top studio comprises of a good size double bedroom with an unusual high wooden beamed ceiling and gorgeous lighting. The large comfortable bed has romantic mosquito netting drapes.There is a fan and aircon. There is a balcony overlooking the mountains. It has an spacious ensuite bathroom with shower and bath. There is a large open kitchen with balcony.

The well equipped kitchen has a fridge freezer and full size cooker. There is an automatic washer and ironing facilities in the rooftop utility room.
